a. Note:   N3 * John Dietrich (b. 18 April 1875) came to the U.S. in 1885 at the age of 10, according to 1910 Census. According to 1900 Federal Census, John came to the U.S. in 1883 (at the age of 8!) the same year as his parents.
  The John Dietrich, Caspar Dietrich, & Caspar Bittorf families appear to have been in: 1882 - 1896 or 1897 Jacksonport, Door County, Wisconsin 1897 - 1900 or 1901 South Boston, Halifax County, Virginia (This is southern Virginia near the North Carolina border) 1900 - 1904 Shawnee County, Kansas (somewhere near Topeka)
  After 1902 or 1904 Wisconsin (Turtle Lake, Barron County)
  In 1900 Federal Census, John & Emilie Dietrich, (children Ida & John) were in Monmouth Township, Shawnee Co., Kansas. John & Emilie are both listed as "alien" citizens. Conrad & Christina Dietrich were also living with them. John & Conrad were renting a house together (not a farm) and worked as farm laborers.
