Rose L. Anglemyer,78, of 303 Waterfall Drive, died at 10:52a.m. Wednesday (April 15,1998)in Elkhart General Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born on April 16, 1919, in Elkhart, to William H. and Dora A. (Godshalk) Wagner. She married Roscoe Anglemyer on Nov. 18, 1935, in Elkhart. He died Feb. 12, 1966.
Mrs. Anglemyer is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Mary J.) Howard of Elkhart and Mrs. Jewell (Sally J.) Riley of Bristol; two sons, Roscoe R. and Russell D., both of Elkhart; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Three sisters, Gertrude Lockard, Myrtle Cummins and Tressa Schaffer; three brothers, Carl, Ralph and Orville Wagner; and two infant daughters, Dora and
Nancy, are deceased.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8p.m. Friday at Westbrook-Metz & Clouse Funeral Home, where the service will be at 1p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Richard Dunn, chaplain at Elkhart General Hospital, will officiate. Burial will be in Prairie Street Cemetery.
Mrs. Anglemyer formerly worked for Hoosier Laundry and retired in June, 1981 from Elkhart General Hospital, where she had worked for 14 years in the housekeeping department.---April 16, 1998, The Elkhart Truth.
They forgot to include her brother Paul Warren who is also deceased. That is all of my dad's brothers and sisters now. She had a double by-pass heart surgery only two weeks before and was doing fine from that and then something else went wrong. I think she really died from shock from having two major surgeries so close together. But, we will never know for sure why she died. She is buried right beside my father.
