Note: --He came from Switzerland in 1717 and resided in Skippack Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. --Source of information: Jennifer K. L. Bean <JKLB@@prodigy.net>; While researching my husband's family tree at Ancestry.com, I came across the entry you made for Valentine Hunsicker. I have a few crumbs of information that you may not have. According to the family history I was given, he was born in Zurich, Switzerland. After he was orphaned, he traveled to America with his maternal grandfather, Valentine Klemmer. He is buried in the Lower Mennonite Cemetery in Creamery, Pennsylvania. I appreciated the information you submitted to Ancestry.com about his wife's family (Kolb). I didn't have any information on them previously. --Source of information: Susan Hunsicker <shunsicker@@bfree.on.ca>; Lists possible names for Valentine's father, grandfather, and great-grandfather's names. Samuel HUNZIKER, b.15 Dec 1672, Schoftland, Aarau. Melchior HUNZIKER, b.1645, Schoftland, Aarau. Samuel HUNZIKER, b. 1598, Muhen, Schoftland, Aargau. --Source of information (15 October 1999): Susan Hunsicker <shunsicker@@bfree.on.ca>; I have now received that information I was waiting for. It says that Samuel Hunziker b. 1672 Schoftland, emigrated to Holland to be a Taufer (whatever that is), which means that Valentine could have been born there. And, of course, that may be the reason no one can find his birth in Switzerland. How cool is that? Now we have a new place to search.
