Notes
a. Note:   --This is my family line; Michael J. GODSHALK <godshalk@@suntan.eng.usf.edu> <2217 Summit View Dr. Valrico, FL [813] 681-9481>. I have the same problem with my family line as Harry ADAMS has with his. There are sufficient records to show that the GrandSon's (Samuel for my line and William for Harry's line) are descendants of Herman GODSHALK. There aren't sufficient records to show the Father's name of Samuel or of William. Their Father's may be one of Herman's known sons ... but until I find better information ... I'm leaving each line as a question mark.
 --Both in my records and in Harry's, we each show a Samuel Godshalk as Grandson for Herman. It is possible that Samuel is the same person and that both Harry's line and mine are connected by the same person. But once again, until I find out more information ... I will leave these people listed as seperate individuals.
  4 JUL 1997:
 Here is a key to help sort out the person(s) I'm talking about. There are two lines that I'm trying to link together. Part of it looks very clear, but I'm waiting for verification before I change my family tree files around. The two lines are:
 LINE 1 LINE2 Herman GODSHALK (b: 1698) Herman GODSHALK (b: 1698) Mr_#1 GODSHALK Samuel GODSHALK (b: Abt. 1730) Samuel GODSHALK (b: 1756) Samuel GODSHALK (b: 1756) I had "LINE 1" listed in my files, from the information I received from Joel Alderfer and other's. "LINE 2" is one I found on the internet (4 JUL 1997). I found the new information on several simular pages, one of the pages was http://www.gendex.com/users/geiser/kidron/d0034/g0000063.html#I38657 ... I think I was able to find the owner of the page and I've sent E-Mail off, asking for information and verification of their source. The other web page addresses, E-Mail address, and Owner's Name is: OMII Genealogy Project http://www.bright.net/~swisstea/ ... OR ... http://www.gstitanium.com/index.htm; swisstea@@bright.net; Robert N. Geiser, CPA, CCP - Apple Creek, OH
 I had Samuel as a child of Herman listed in my Family Tree files, but no other information on his spouse or children. The Samuel (child of Samuel, Abt. 1730) listed in the source above is married to Mary Geil ... which is the same Samuel I had listed also. Only I didn't know that Samuel's (who was married to Mary GEIL) father's name was also Samuel ... and I listed Samuel's father as Mr ??? GODSHALK. The Mennonite records were able to link Samuel (who was married to Mary GEIL) to, his Grandfather, Herman GODSHALK. I would like to verify the source ot the source above, to determine that their information is correct. This may be hard to do since I don't know who the submitter of the information is ... but I'll check into it.
  19 June 1998 --Source of information: Michael J. Godshalk (godshalk@@suntan.eng.usf.edu);
 Harry ADAMS line was listed under #1 Mr ??? GODSHALK, a son of Herman, a grandson of the Bishop. As I entered the information from Carl H. GOTTSHALL, I was continually finding duplicate individuals that needed to be merged. I came across William (son of Samuel) first and noticed that the 3 children under the #1 Mr ??? GODSHALK matched 3 of Samuel's children EXACTLY. I've finally merged the children and deleted the unknown GODSHALK. I wish I could contact Harry Adams and let him know about this news ... but I think Harry already knows ... since Harry died
  <--This note used to be under the #1 Mr ??? GODSHALK, but is now merged from the above information:
 --This is the line of Harry ADAMS (Bedminster, PA). He has the same problem with his family line as I have with mine. There are sufficient records to show that the GrandSon's (William for Harry's line and Samuel for my line) are descendants of Herman GODSHALK. There aren't sufficient records to show the Father's name of William or of Samuel. Their Father's may be one of Herman's known sons ... but until I find better information ... I'm leaving each line as a question mark.>
