a. Note:   etts, Co Down. It was a book written about the towns of Co Down about 1886. In it there is an advertisement for the George Hotel, proprietor Robert Johnston. I am
 going to try and get a photocopy. If I get it, I'll send it through to you. She also was checking the old street directories and found that Robert Johnston also was the proprietor of a hotel in Rathfriland known as the Farmers and Commercial
 Hotel. This seemed to be before he was involved in the George probably about 1880. I will have to make some further investigations into this.
Note:   Maureen was at the Public Records Office yesterday and found a book called Bass
