Note: Thomas is listed in the 1850 Wisconsin Census, Richland County, District 26, as age 24 and being a farmer. The census listed his birth as Tennessee. He is lis
ted with his father Thomas, mother Sarah, brothers Charles, John, Joseph, and si
sters Mary and Nancy. This census was available at Univ. Wisc. Platteville and
Brewer Public Library in Richland Center. Thomas served in the Civil War with C
ompany B of the 49th Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry. See the information in my bo
