Note: build.Dark hair and lots of it. A Painter (House Painter) by trade. During the depression in Germany he peddled on His Bicycle from Viernheim to Jena, Th�ringen. There he found a Job at Schott Glass manufacturing plant. He later met my Mother Hildegard Radegast. During WWII he was in France, made it all the way to Greece and Russia. In Russia he was wounded (Head wound)and spent several weeks in a Field hospital (Lazarett) in Poland befor he went back to Jena and his Family. June 17, 1953 during the revolt in eastern Germany (DDR)he took several large pictures of Lenin, Stalin and Peek down from the wall of the cafeteria at Schott and hid them in some dark corner. After the revolt faild he had to leave the country fast and went back to west Germany and the town where he grew up. My Mother, Brother and me followed him later.
