Note: d to a piece of land near Rosetta, Mississippi where CC had a store and a house. He would never wait on customers in the store always calling Anna Belle even if he was close by. He never worked at all but just sat around. His jealousy was very heavy on Anna Belle and she couldn't even sit with sick neighbors or friends without him pearing in the window to see what she was doing.
When Anna Belle was pregnant with my father Dan, CC would not take her to the train station so she could go to the hospital. She had two miscarriages with midwives before and when she insisted on the hospital in Natchez, CC was against it. A friend took her to the train in Rosetta and she went to Natchez where Dan was born. When she headed back to Rosetta, CC would not pick her up at the train station. She had to ask for a ride home.
She eventually left CC, divorced him and married a Mr. Roberts. Dan was brought up by his Grandmother, not wanting to live in Rosetta.
