Note: ? I THINK this Johannes' is attached to the right father. If so, this is the link between the Sweitzer line and Norman Schwarzkopf. Norman Schwarzkopf's ancestor Johannes was said to have died in Germany, which casts some doubt on this link. Also, his ancestor was said to have been Johannes Schwarzkopf (all dates unknown), whie Greg Sweitzer's ancestor was Johan Georg Schwarzkopf b. 1800. I made this link as a tentative one, in the expectation that further research will either strengthen or disprove it. Greg Sweitzer was given information from Mary Schwarzkopf-Abbott that our ancestoral Schwarzkopf was Jacob, brother to Johan Georg Schwarzkopf b. 1800, aupposedly Norman Schwarzkopf's ancestor. Her documentation indicated the two brothers emigrated from Germany to escape the draft during war with the Hollenzollens (sp?). Research on Norman's ancestor gives the names as Johannes Schwarzkopf (no dates known) father of Christian G. Schwarzkopf 1835-1916. In short: Norman Schwarzkopf's information on ancestor: Johannes Schwarzkopf, no dates known, father of Christian G. Schwarzkopf 1835 to 1916. Greg Sweitzer's information on ancestor: Johan Georg Schwarzkopf, Jul. 20, 1800-, son of Christian Schwarzkopf 1756-1800.
