a. Note:   Sybil attended her first school at Kisatchie, Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana. One year was then spent in Alamogordo, New Mexico; then moved back to Provencal, Louisiana. Sybil went to school in Provencal for four years and then moved to La Pryor, Texas where she finished high school on May 17, 1928. She attended Alamo City Business College in San Antonio, Texas and received a Certificate of Proficiency in 20th Century Bookkeeping on July 8, 1929. She majored in accounting and later took many college courses during her early married life and eventually worked and retired as an accountant of the State of Louisiana on September 16, 1973.
  Sybil J. Hardin died Wednesday, December 14, 1994 in Leesville, Louisiana. She was the retired head accountant of the Leesville State School. The Revs. M. C. Green, John Burns, and Oliver Self officiated.
