a. Note:   Grandson Rev. David M. Nevins' written account of family history says that he knew of only one brother to Henry Nevins, Sr. No name was given to that brother by D. M. Nevins' account. The story by Rev. D. M. Nevins was that Henry was a supporter of the Revolutionists although he did not serve in the military because of a crippling injury. His brother was a Loyalist. During the war, other Loyalists learned of Henry's sympathies and broke into his home, destroying all his personal property or stole it. Rev. D. M. Nevins said Henry Sr. blamed his brother for this action and held him responsible for the loss. This event caused Henry Sr. to decide to leave New York. He arrived in Jassamon County, KY in 1785 or 1786. is NOT responsible for the content of the GEDCOMs uploaded through the WorldConnect Program.
