Notes
a. Note:   REFN: 42 Obituary - Oscar Carrol Morong
Oscar Carrol Morong, one of Rowley's (Mass.) most highly
esteemed young men who has been critically ill with consumption
for a number of months, passed away at the home of his parents,
Mr. & Mrs. Daniel Morong, on Sunday evening, January 24, aged
about 27 years. Mr. Morong was a native of Dennysville, Maine,
and came to this town nearly ten years ago and has resided here
ever since. Several years ago he was united in marriage to
Miss Myrtle D. Spiller of Newburyport, who with two small
children survived him. He is also survived by a mother, four
brothers, and a large circle of other relatives and friends and
family connections. He was a nobel hearted Christian young man
and held in very high esteem by all the townspeople and the
sympathy of the community is extended to the grief stricken
family on the loss of a kind husband and beloved son and
 brother.
The impressive burial service of the Knights of Pythias was
conducted by Chancellor Commander Charles G. Hull and Prelate
William B. Joy of Syracuse Lodge of Ipswich of which the
deceased was a member. A large number of members were present
to pay their tributes of respect to their departed brother.
The pall bearers were the four brothers of the deceased: Wells
Morong, Aury Morong, Harold S. Morong, Herbert Morong, Harry Purington, and Conrad Brooks Jr. representing the K. of P.
