Note: REFN3 !Birth: F#25,618 Beaver Dam LDS Ward. Cache County Court House Marriage records of her parent's marriage gi ve 22 Sep 1903, as the date of their marrige. Leah was born in 1904, Sh e was born prematurely according to family legends. She had no fingernails or ha ir, according to family legend. Birth records are not available for Leah. So I have arrived at th e birthdate by the blessing records of the Beaver Dam LDS ward record s. She always said that she and her cousin, Lavern Shelton were ble ssed the same day. Those records give the blessing date as 12 June 1 904, by Charles E. Twitchell, in the Beaver Dam LDS Ward. Source ; F # 025,618. She was baptized by William P.Camp, Jr, in what was called Crysta l Spring, near Pleasant View, Idaho. on 5 July 1913; and confirmed b y Stephen Wight, the next day, when living in the Pleasant Veiw LDS W ard, near Malad, Oneida, Idaho. Zelpha Williams knew Mom's family when they lived at Pleasant Veiw. Zelpha; "I remember one time when it was your Uncle Henry's birt hday. Hewas about 13 or 14 years old. Your mother had a surprise pa rty for him. It was after dark and your Grandma had sent Henry dow n stairs to the cellar for something and we were all waiting for hi m when he came upstairs. We sneaked into the house while he was dow n in the cellar. It was Joe Isaacson's home that they rented. I thi nk your Grandpa worked for him at the time and they lived in the hous e . Henry came out of the basement with something in his arms and h e nearly fell backwards down the stairs. He had to be helped upstair s and be told that it was ok. Leah was older and she helped with th e party and the games. I was Henry's age." I remember we rode a school wagon to school. And that was wha t it was, a wagon. In the warm weather it was open and had seats, bo ards, along the sides. In the cold a cover was put over the top on ho ops. Will Price was the 'bus driver. He was always a joker and wa s called 'Whiskers' by the kids. He was called that because if the k ids didn't mind what they were told, he would grab them and 'dry shav e' them. (Rub his chin on there bare faces) The girls especially did n't want that. We enjoyed him more than we did some of the other driv ers. I think Ruel Ipsen drove once.
