Note: REFN6 John Wilhelm Mogensen; on Danish birth records. His father is liste d as Rasmus Mogensen; The Computer 1992 AF listing is John Wilhelm MoRgan sen; with an R in there that shouldn't be there. I have sent in to hav e it corrected, but the new disks have not come; July 15 1995. When the Convert family came to USA, records were made using Rasmus M ogensen Larsen.(This was the father of John Wilhelm Mogensen!) Danish recor ds have Rasmus Mogensen as his birth name. His father was Mogen Larsen/Laurs en. LDS Church records added the Larsen to R.M. because his father wa s a Larsen! John became John William Larsen. The Mogensen name is stil l on all Danish records, so the name will still be Mogensen if research is don e from those records. Obit: Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Pleasantvie w ward for John. W. Larsen of Rupert, Idaho, and formerly of Pleasant view; Ser vices were held at Rupert, also. John W. Larsen, 65, was born August 1881 in Denmark and died Marc h 29 at Rupert, Idaho after a lingering illness. When 4 years old he came t o America with his parents who were converts to the Morman church. He married September 22 1903, in the Logan Temple to Dora Alvert a Shelton. They lived at Pleasantview until 1919 when they moved away. For th e past fifteen years they have made their home in Rupert, Idaho. Surving is his wife; two sons, Henry W;. Yreka, Calif; Dean J; Rupert . Six daughters; Mesdames; V. D. Justesen, Malad; Wanda Wager, Orpha Penros e, Salt Lake; Ila Bott, Dora Maiers and Elma Timmons; Rupert, Idaho.
