Laub; F ielding, Utah, LDS ward records and confirmed by Frank J. Walker. H e was baptized in the spring near the Bear river Bridge on the Fieldi ng\Collinston road, part of the Bear River. He was ordained a Deacon, 15 Mar 1914, by John W. Larsen; page 2 #110 Fielding, Utah, LDS Ward records, same film as above, (This is not th e father of Leah Larsen,, but another man with the same name.) He has served in many civic and church positions. He has been One ida County, Red Cross President, President of the Parent and Teache r Association, President of the Oneida County Grain Grower, President of the Oneid a county Farm Bureau. served as a member of the Malad City Board, an d was one to the instigaters in getting the Malad City Park built near the Malad Secon d Ward Building. Comments by V. D. Justesen to his daughter Marie in 1987; Grandpa Hans Peter Justesen had a store and a sheep business in Salin a, Utah He set my Dad up with some sheep. Dad didn't like the sheep. Whe n I was thirteen years old we moved to Fielding, Utah.(1915) Dad took up a h omestead there. Uncle Charles; Ma's only brother only had one leg. Mother too k care of him whe he was so sick, with the cancer in his stump. He took a dare to jump of an old coal shed. He jumped off the hig h front part and broke his leg. It never healed right. He had many operation s, and it turned to cancer. He herded sheep in Carey, Idaho, until he couldnt work anymore, t hen he came and lived with Ma and Dad in Magna, the rest of his life. He di ed and was buried the the Pleasant Green Cemetery there in Magna. Justesen Brigham City,96, our wonderful husband, father, grandfather passed aw ay peacefully on Monday September 14, 1998 in Barigham City, (He wa s in the Pioneer Care and Rehabilation Center for four hours after be ing (kicked out) removed there from the Community Hospital. He was born April 13 1902 in Redmond;, Utah, the son of Peter Anton e and Mary Ann Owen Justesen; He married Leah S. Larsen on 3 March 1922 in Logan, Utah. She passe d away on Oct 1st 1973 in Salt Lake City. He married Audrey Humpriey on 16 Mar 1974 in Salt Lake City. He was lived in Fielding, Honeyville, Magna, and Garfield, and Salt L ake City, Utah, and Malad, Idaho before moving to Brigham City. He was an active member of the LDS Church. He was a High Priest i n the Brigham City 19th Ward. He had served a couselor in the Mala d 2nd Ward , as Sunday School Superintendant and as a home teacher al l his life.
