Note: Per REB viewing and copy of the 12/29/1898 Clay Center Dispatch, KSHS C 534, "Green: Tom Clark and George Masterson have bought the livery barn and expect to stock it and run the business April 1, as the barn is rented till then." In 10/1999 REB found a 1906 Clay Center city directory showing George Masterson and wife Vaugn lived at 802 Court and he had a "livery" at 713 4th Street. The 1909 directory listed him as a clerk in the Bee Hive Grocery, wife Vaughn, and still living at 802 Court. (Today the grocery is a law office at 705 5th Street.)
