Notes
a. Note:   Per 1850 IN census, William was 5, attending school, and born in Indiana. From REB viewing and photo copy of 1885 Kansas census
of Highland township in Clay County, page 8 and line 9, a "W"
Masterson age 40 is listed following "R" Masterson, wife Martha
and children. So, this undoubtedly is "our" William Masterson
as age fits. 1885 census shows him to be single. The next line
following "W" is a Mary, age 69, so this must be Mary Clark
Masterson! (Notice that William's obit states "his mother kept
house for him until her death.")
b. Note:   short 2 miles north of Green
