Note: REFN176 From a letter from Betty Jean Lees dated 4/20/1998: The page concerning
the "Double Funeral" of father and infant son is about your great aunt
(Mary Alice Porritt Bell)--husband and baby boy. I sit here and think
about her--what a terrible tragedy. We called her "Auntie May" and she
used to come up once a year and spend a week with George and Etta. She must have been in her eighties, but what pep and vigor. She would travel all over the state, hopping on and off buses to visit old friends.
Glenn's oldest child, Marjorie, (now 64) was particularly close to her.
