Notes
a. Note:   Levi married Rachel Meade, who was born Sept. 1, 1791 near Hartford Ct. While living in New York four children were born, Lodasea, Louisa A., Lodusky, and Robert Martin.
They were living in Portage County, Ohio when Louisa A. Leach married Frederick Mallet on Jan. 14 1830.
  Levi was a farmer.
In 1838 the family moved to Lee County, Iowa near Ft. Madison. In a "History of Lee County" it tells that Levi Leach had been elected alderman in April 4 1842 in the first election.
Levi died Feb 13, 1855 at Ft. Madison, Iowa and is buried in the City Cemetery there, along with his brother Cotton.
His wife Rachel, their son Robert M. and his wife Sarah and their children, Lodesea, Lodusky and her husband John Coddingham moved farther west to Wayne Co. Ia. in 1855.
In the 1870 census we find Rachel and Lodesea, who apparentely never married, living with John Coddington. We assume his wife Lodusky has died.
On Jan 12 1876 Rachel passed away near Corydon. Ia.
