Note: [McCarthy11012000.FTW] [McCarthy7012000.GED] [mccarthy6182000.FTW] [McCarthy02262000.GED] Taken from Thibodeau book "The Irishman a factor in The Development of Houlton" In 1832 Thos, Corrigan settled on the County Road, and became a prosperous farmer, and reared a family of five girls and one boy. John the son, is a farmer in Lisbon Falls, Maine. One of the girls married William Kiley, another married John Shean, and another, Frank McCarty (I believe this is supposed to be McCarthy), all prosperous farmers. I also found the Corrigan information in the New Limerick, Maine Census's for 1850, & 1860. Thomas, & Mary are buried in the old St. Mary's cemetery behind the new church along with Nellie F. Sweeney, in the census it looks like Ella, but Nellie could have been born after the 1850 census, and the 1860 one is extremely difficult to make out ( in fact that section is impossible), so for now I have indicated it that way. The church records show baptisms for Mary, and John, but none of the others. I had somewhere gotten the idea the Mary's mother was Mary Howell, but I can't find any census information that would support that, and the Baptism records for Mary, and john show Mary Travers.
