Notes
a. Note:   I wonder if this may be the same Patrick McCarty that has a judgement made against him in Bathurst in 1833 for failure to complete agreed services? Some reasons for the thought that Patrick is closely related to Michael McCarthy b1794 Ireland, died 1860 Bathurst New Brunswick, Canada is the two daughters of Catherine Cronin Michael McCarthy's second wife by her previous husband Denis Sheehan (Mary b1841, & Ellin b1842) show up in the New Limerick census 1850 living just across the road from Patrick with the Cyrus Bradbury Family. Then after Michael's death Florance Francis (Frank) b1848 Bathurst moves to New Limerick about 1868, and purchases land near Patrick, and even signed the deed when Patrick McCarty transfers land owned by his late wife to his daughter Florance (yes the names are the same!). Catherine Cronin (Michael's widow) then moves to New Limerick c1871 along with the youngest son Thomas, and her son John Sheehan (now being spelled Shean). By Irish naming convention Michael b 1794 could well be Patrick's brother, as Patrick's third son's name is Michael whisc by the convension indicates that Patrick had a brother Michael (not that any of these names are at all uncommon).
