a. Note:   ed Abigail Morgan, daughter of William Morgan. She was born in 1771 in Craven Co, NC and died in 1831, Wilkinson Co, Ga. Moses was in Georgia as early as March 14, 1797, when he applied in Screvan Co., Ga to administer the estate of John Rains. Screvan Co. is on the SC border where Moses' father James died. Nov. 11, 1815, Moses was appointed by the Governor of Georgia, a Justice of the Peace in Wilkes Co., Ga. In 1820 Moses was living in Wilkinson Co., Ga. It is likely that the certificate should actually have read "Wilkinson" County, not "Wilkes". Children:

  George WashingtonHarrison, son of Moses Harrison and Abigail Morgan, was born Sept 20, 1807, probably in Ga. Married (1) Joicey Cannon, daughter of Nathaniel Cannon and Frances Sumner(2) Frances Simpson West, daughter of Joseph West, July 20, 1834, Milledgeville, Baldwin Co., Ga. She died Nov. 1901, Atlanta, Ga. George moved his family to Randolph Co., Ga. He was on the 1840 Census of Randolph Co. Children:
  1. Elizabeth Jain Harrison (by 1) - b. 1831, Wilkinson County, Ga.; d. after 1900, Texas; m. James S. West. Elizabeth is mentioned in the will of her grandfather, Nathaniel Cannon. 2. George Ann Harrison - b. Aug. 15, 1835; m. Major A. W. Starke 3. John Thomas Harrison - b. about April 21, 1840; d. June 12, 1884; m. never. CSA - Company C 45th Georgia
 4. Zadoc Daniel Harrison - b. Nov. 26, 1842, Ga.; d. Sept. 24, 1935; m. Laura L. Hendree
 5. James Polk Harrison - b. Sept. 26, 1844; d. May 21, 1906; m. Mary "Mollie" A. Lea. Jan. 1859 he began his apprenticeship of three years in the old Southern Recorder office in Milledgeville. He moved to Forsyth, Ga. in 1866 and established the Monroe Advertiser. In 1873 he moved to Atlanta, Ga. and formed a joint stock company and purchased the Franklin Steam Printing House and the Christian Index. In 1877 he was elected State Printer by the Legislature.   Colonel Zadoc Harrison, son of George Harrison and Frances Simpson West, was born Nov. 26, 1842, Randolph Co., Ga. Zadoc was on the 1860 Census of Baldwin Co., Ga. He married Laura Lignon Hendree, Dec. 18, 1872. Zadoc died Sept. 24, 1935, Atlanta, Ga. Children:
 1. Emily Stewart Harrison - b. Jan. 6, 1874; d. Sept. 3, 1973; m. never. She was an editoress on the 1900 Census of DeKalb Co., Ga. 2. George Hendree Harrison - b. Sept. 2, 1876; d. Jan. 28, 1936, Pensacola, Fla.; m. Ethel Watt. George was a minister. Children:
