a. Continued:   John Harrison, son of William Henry and Martha Harrison, was born about 1800, Montgomery Co., Ga. He was a farmer and lived in Elba, Coffee Co., Ala. He died in Ala. John married Martha Patsy Lindsey. She was born in 1805 in Ga. According to census records their oldest child was born in Ga and all others were born in Ala. John is on the 1830 and 1840 census in Dale Co., Ala. In 1870 John is listed as 73 making his birth year about 1797. Living with him is Sexton L. Harrison age 25 and children Elizabeth age 8; William age 4; and Narcissa age 2. Living near by is his son John. Children: 1. James Harrison - b. 1825, Wilkerson Co., Ga.; d. 1860, Elba, Coffee Co., Ala.; m. Elizabeth Reynolds. She was b. 1826, Ala., and d. in 1860. They lived in Elba, Coffee Co., Ala. All of their children were born in Elba.
 2. Mary Harrison - b. 1829, Ala.; d. Oct. 12, 1914; m. Elijah Foley.
 3. Benjamin Harrison - b. 1830, Ala.; m. Martha ? .
 4. Martha Harrison - b. 1833, Ala.
 5. Melissa Harrison - b. 1834, Ala.
 6. John A. Harrison - b. April 14, 1834, Ala.; d. Dec. 18, 1910; m. Martha Jane ?. She was b. July 10, 1834; d. Nov. 26, 1923. All of their children were b. in Coffee Co., Ala. 893, Ala.
 7. Louisa Harrison - b. 1840, Ala.
 8. Narcissa Harrison - b. 1840, Ala.
 9. Julia Ann Harrison - b. 1843, Ala.
  Here is the second John, probably the nephew of William.
  John Harrison was born around 1802. John married Mary Polly Wasden. She was born in 1802 in Ga. He was a farmer and lived in Elba, Coffee Co, Ala. Children:
  1. Elizabeth Harrison - b. 1825, Ala.; m. William Ivey Blair. Living with them in 1850 was Mary E. Harrison - b. 1848.
