Notes
a. Note:   Hello Linda, I am a Sansom researcher, and I was referred to your site for the children of John A. and Sarah Sansom Harrison. I see that you have her as the daughter of William and Nancy Sansom. I would appreciate it so much if you could share with me your source for William being her father.
I had also found that posted on the Coffee Co., AL mailing list. When I enquired about William being her father, the following exchange occurred.

I first asked Shelah, who does lots of Harrison positngs, what was her source for Sara being the daughter of a William and Nancy. She replied:

My info came from Linda Beall Weldon, Tallahassee, Florida. She has written a book "Decendants of James Harrison of Edgefield County, South Carolina" and I bought a copy just over the past month.

Subject: John A. Harrison and wife, Sara Sansom Hello Glenda,
I understand that you have written a book concerning the Harrison family.
I was told that you gave William and Nancy Sansom as the parents of Sara Sansom, wife of John A. Harrison. May I please ask what your documentation or source was for them being her parents? Also, for her being a Sansom?
I am a Sansom researcher, and I descend from James Sansom, who lived just 4 households away from Sara and John in the 1850 Coffee Co., AL census. Then, in the 1860 census, his son, Thomas, was living in the same household with Sara and John. My initial "guess" would have been that James was her father. If she is the daughter of William, then James and William would surely have been close kin.
Can you please give me more information about this William Sansom?
 Thank you,
 Barbara Martin

 Barbara,
I have been going through my Harrison files. I have a filling cabinet draw with nothing but Harrison files so it is taking awhile. I did find where I
had made a note that James and Rachel were the parents of Sarah based on the
 1850 census. So I don't know what happend. I don't find a William and
Nancy. I have not found as of yet where I got the info. I started
researching this family years ago for myself and never intended to do a book
or anything. I was interested in it for myself so didn't keep a lot of the
letters, etc. This was all before emai. My files started getting to big and
at the time I didn't have a files cabinet so I just started discarding
letters. (Big mistake) Then my aunts and uncles wanted me to do a book. So that's why I did a book and just had a few extra printed in case anyone
 wanted one.
I certainly don't want to put out incorrect information. That has been the
problem with the ancestors of Grancer. Wish I could remember who sent me the
info on the Sansom family. I will continue going through my files.

Yes you are right. John A. Harrison's parents are William (Grancer) and
Nancy. So I could have transposed this to Sarah. I am making corrections
in my files. I do think that Sarah's parents are James and Rachel and that
the Thomas living with her in 1860 is her brother.
The John Harrison who married Marth J. Sansom was the son of Thomas and Mary
Harrison. Thomas is the brother of William (Grancer) Harrison. I don't
really have any info on this family. Hope this help. If you have any other
question please feel free to ask.
