Note: The big family record has his name as Earnest David...about 1970 he told Mignon Cook Klang his name really was to have been that. Believe the spelling was also to have been Earnest; he got a delayed birth certificate as an adult and used the name David Ernest at that time, and most likely always prior to that time. Birth certificate obtained from Sangamon County court records has only a line drawn thru the blank used for the name of the child.
