  He met Martha Davis and they married in 1904 having a son Dudley in 1906.living in 1,Balfour Terrace,Squires Lane Finchley Barnet where he is described as an advertisement canvasser.
  For some reason William and Martha went to Wales leaving their son with Mr and Mrs Nash of 63,St Georges Avenue,Tufnell park,Islington London
 Martha died on 20th July 1918 at 39,Kimberley Gardens Tottenham (Edmonton)in the flu epidemic of pneumonia and the Nash's continued to care for William.Mr Nash died in a tragic drowning in Shrewsbury in. Mrs Rachel Nash died aged 82 on 15th December 1947.Mr Alfred Edward nash and Rachel Jacobs had met and married 1st August 1891 at 73,Elm Rd NW1 in parish St Thomas Camden Town.Rachels family were piano makers There is then a gap in which we know William became estranged from his son but he then meets Mabel Thompson and has Maurice Francis Snelgrove on 20th may 1929 whilst living with Mabel at :

 Met Mabel Thompson when she lived in at a pub in Hackney.He was 30 yrs her senior, a Commercial traveller and a widower.Also lived at 19,Cantelowes Rd Camden
 (St Pancras) when he died in Lambeth Hospital SE11 of Carcinoma of the Pharynx
 on 26th Feb 1936.

 William's first wife was Martha Davis in 1904.They met and married in London having one son called Dudley Snelgrove in 1906.Sadly Martha died in the flu epidemic of 1918 and Dudley was placed with the Nash family who introduced him to the British museum where he had a successful career until 1964.He then worked for Paul Mellon the US collector of English watercolours.Dudley married Hilda White and had one child called Margaret(living in Surrey) and adopted one called Paul Snelgrove(living in Paris).
