a. Note:   Born December 17, 1849, married Nancy Anna Farmer(b.12/22/1855), Daughter of William Farmer. They had Twelve children, 3 girls and 9 boys. Benjamin was a farmer, a devoted christian and member of the Baptist Church for 44 years, He served as a Deacon of the Bethel Baptist Church in Haywood County, NC. He once moved to SC in the fall of 1890 but moved back to Haywood County that same year. Lived in Haywood County until October 1899. He moved to Buncombe County in 1899 and finely move back to Haywood County, Canton, NC in January of 1915, where he lived until his death on July 17, 1917 at 5:30pm. AS told by Joseph Webster Gordon.
