Lillian Lankerd said that William Shelly's father had 6 children by his first wife and married the widow of John Haines 2nd. He had William and Peter by this second marriage. Mary had approximately 3 children by her first Marriage. Mary first appears with Jacob in the 1860 Redbank Twp census.
