  I'm sure the last two names are the people you are looking for. I would assume Johnathan is Thomas' brother. Since Johnathan's son, Samuel, was born in Mass., I would guess Thomas came to the US with his brothers family like you said, met Edith in the New England area. Unfortunately, there is no additional information added to this entry by the Lexington Genealogical Association. From what you said, it doesn't look like the family stayed in SC very long. I check the 1870 census for Lexington Co., and this surname isn't listed. Let me know if you have any questions!
