Note: m both Canada and Maine. Annie was said to have had bright red hair and to have been ,once again, of Irish heritage. According to a family member she is said to have parished in a house fire. The Maine census for 1880 and 1900 says parents born Ireland and the Canadian census for 1900 gives parents birth Scotland. Family tradition has survived to the present day but has never been researched. After talking to a family member I discovered that Annie's parents, did indeed, speak with a distinctive brogue. I have traveled to Lower Brighton, New Brunswick and have discovered the area where Annie's parents first settled.
