Note: Noelie attended La Grange Public Schools and Our Lady of the Lake College in San Antonio. She taught school throughout Fayette County in her early years and in Houston during the 1960s. During World War II she was the secretary to the Fayette County Judge. At various other times she performed secretarial work for other employers. She retired from teaching in 1970 and lived with her son John and his family until her death 24 years later.
