  Mrs. Margaret Stacy, probably the oldest woman for miles around, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Russell, in this village Friday morning. Though she had seen a 108 birthdays, she had been quite active until recently, her mind and memory being keen. Incidents of the war or 1812 she related with pleasure from her own personal recollections.
  Obituary says that she died at the age of 108 with recollection of the War of 1812 but that would mean that she gave birth to her youngest son William at the age of 54, Quite old for a pregnancy, her death certicicate gives her age at death at a 105.
  Has been found under various names, such as Whitney and Ladesay.
