Note: Was in Tinmouth, Rutland Co., VT when sons Plin B: 1793 and Chester B:1801 was born. Not listed in 1800 Tinmouth or the rest of Rutland Co., VT census.
In 1810 a Simeon found in Cortland Co., No Twp. listed ,NY Cortland is just south of Onondaga Co., NY and just east of Tompkins Co., NY.
In 1820 a Simeon is found at Solon, Cortland Co., NY page 386. Also a Plin on page 585.
In 1830 a Simeon is found at Ellington, Chautauqua Co., NY, page 343. A Chester is also found there on same page. Chautauqua is in the southwest corner of NY bordering Penn. In this same year a Pliney Phelps is found in Fairfield, Herimer Co., NY page 9.
1840 census - no Simeon, Plin, or Chester found. Most have removed to PA, Crawford Co., by then?
Simeon Phelps is found in the 1850 LeRoy, Dodge Co., WI census on page 136. Also possible brother John Phelps on page 137?
