Note: Believe that Fanny N. is Jedediah's wife and mother of his children. The Sophia Walker, that some have noted as Jedediah's wife and mother of the children, I believe is Jedediah's sister. Unfortunately, no real "proof" has been found. The following is a list of why I believe Sophia Walker is Jedediah's sister.
1. Elijah's letter dated 1853 calls her "Aunt Walker", why referred to by her maiden name if married to Jedediah?
2. Dyrden Tompkins Co. NY has a Lydia, daughter of Jedediah and Fanny N. died 1844, age 18 y, 10 m. 3. In 1850 census, Sophia is listed last and called Sophia Walker, obviously not married at that time to Jedediah, or would have been noted next to him, and not by the surname of Walker. 4. Sophia was born about 1774. She would have been nine years older than Jedediah. Unusual to have a wife that much older than her husband. This age fits the Zerviah Phelps, who
is Jedediah's sister, born 1773. I have found in another case that a Zerviah is noted as Sophia in records. 5. In the 1820 Dryden, Tompkins Co., NY Census, there is a Daniel Walker who resided near Solomon and Jedediah Phelps. Wonder if this is Sophia Walker's husband? Noted as having 1 male16-25, 1 male 45 & up, 1 female 26-45. This age for the female fits the age bracket for Sophia Walker and Zerviah Phelps, Jedediah's sister. 1820 Dryden, Tompkins Co., NY census for Jedediah Phelps

Richard E. Phelps (resided Garden Grove Oaks, 6127 Grand Oaks Drive S.E., Winter Haven, FL 33884 in 1994) and Harry Glenn Phelps only notes two sons for Jedediah - James L. and Arthur. Also noted wife as Sophia Walker.
Noted in the Old Cemetery of Dryden, Tompkins Co., NY, Records of Inscriptions & Genealogical Notes, by Charles M. Sandwich, Sr. page 14, old Gravestone Markers. Also noted in Tompkins County Grave Inscriptions by Dora Pope, page 299. "Lydia A.G., daughter of Jedediah and Fanny N. Phelps died 2 Mar 1844, aged 18 years, 10 months."
In 1818 Jedediah was a brick maker in Dryden, Tompkins Co., NY per book - History of Dryden, NY by Goodrich, published 1808
