Note: A letter from H.H. Phelps dated 1933 noted that Anna was married to Simeon Phelps. But the 1870 Lincoln, Adams Co., WI census notes her married to Chester Phelps. In addition, to prove that this letter is in error, both the sons of Chester, Clarence and Frank's marriage records note that their parents are Chester Phelps and the name of the mother of husband before marriage is Ann Phelps and Annie Phelps. These marriages took place in Adams County WI, on Feb. 21, 1888 and 23 Sept. 1888.
