Notes
a. Note:   !Biography: Died aged 47. Info not verified. Look for births between 1864 and 1879. Marriage certificate suggests he was 27 in 1896 (Christmas day marriage) therefore calculated birth year 1869.
Informed that daughter Ellen was about 7 when William passed away. Since Ellen was born in 1908, then William's death would have occurred about 1915 (source Vera). If aged 47 when deceased, then birth year was about 1868.
If born in 1865 then he would have been 33 when first child (William George) was born, 34 when Harriet was born and 35 when Mary Ann (Bessie) born. At the birth of the eldest child in 1915 he would have been 50!
If William died in 1920 at the age of 47 then his birth year would be 1873/1874 (two sources both cousins). Searched Death indexes for 1919 (March , June qrts) and 1920 all quarters, 1921 March & June, 1932 (Mar & June). Try 1919 (Sept & Dec qrters) and 1921 Sept/Dec).
In that case if he was born in 1873 then he would have been 25 when first known child (William George) was born, 26 when Harriet was born and 27 when Mary Ann (Bessie) born. At the birth of the eldest child in 1915 he would have been 42!
Siblings: Samuel, Hannah, Lucy (married a Mr Greenoff), Charlotte and Frederick. (Source: Phyllis)
Searched birth indices for 1865/6, 1868/70, 1873/75 added results as separate individuals since no clue that any are this individual.
  Children:
William George born 1898 suspected age of William Taylor 28 to 29 Harriett 1899 29 to 30
 Mary Ann 1900 30 to 32 3 others then Ellen Elizabeth 1908 38 to 40 Fred 1911 41 to 43
 Hannah 1913 43 to 45
Search for birth index info for the above children. Told that his family were shopkeepers (source Vera).
The name Taylor is a Kentish name of Norman origin and first appears in the ancient records of Kent pre 1100 AD
The name Taylor also appears to be of Palatinate family origins of Gaulish origin (now Germany/France (Normandy)).
Search census records for 1871 & 1891 both Yorkshire and Essex counties but could have been anywhere in UK?
