Note: Duffie's grandfather was Henry Fuqua (Fuquet Family). Henry, theoldest child of Ephraim Fuqua, came from Bedford County, Virginia, toAlabama in 1828 with his family, then on to Texas, settling on whatwas called Fuqua's Prairie, Grimes County, in 1831. Henry marriedElvira Hughey who had already come from Alabama to Texas. One of theirdaughters, Anna, met and married John Wright, a young farmer who hadsettled near Erwin on the lower Erwin road. To this couple, 5daughters and 3 sons were born, Willie Wright (Black), Duffie Wright(Pool), Barbara Wright (Bounds), Garvin Wright, Van Wright, CoraWright (Becker), Matt Wright and Maude Ruth Wright (Andrus).
Note: Nellie Duffie Wright married Robert Mitchell Pool on April 29, 1908.
