Note: John Nelson was born and raised on the farm he inherited from his father, Charles. This farm was one quarter of a section that was purchased from the Railroad Company by the four Nelson Brothers settling in Nebraska. He earned a diploma from Wahoo Business School and when he married he brought his South Dakota bride to this farm and they earned a good living there until his death.
