Note: Edith Nelson Swanson Harriet was born two days after Edith's husband, Harry, died of the flu. When Harriet was 5 years old, Edith moved to the Nurses Home for Immanuel Hospital in Omaha and worked there as a house mother. In 1932 Edith and Harriet returned to live in their own home in Omaha as Edith became registrar in Immanuel Hospital office. There she worked until retirement. When Edith was 80 years old she sold her home and moved to Minneapolis to be near Harriet. A couple of years later she moved to Augustana Home in Minneapolis where she resides today.
