a. Note:   Oscar Nelson came to the U.S. Nov. 17, 1897. When he and Elsa were married they set up housekeeping on the farm near Bradish where they lived until 1920 when they moved to an area in south Albion. Oscar rented the farm and continued to return to assist the renter in the farming operation. Later he worked for E.M. Johnson, who lived in south Albion, for many years. Oscar and Elsa were members of Salem Lutheran Church of rural St. Edward. and they and their two children are buried in the church cemetery beside Elsa's parents.
