Notes
a. Note:   Ernest Nelson came to the United States December 29, 1903. He farmed with his brothers and worked for Mrs. Ed Nelson. After his marriage to Dorothy Woods in 1929 they lived on the farm belonging to Elvera Nelson. Their entire married life was spent there. Before his marriage he went back to visit in Sweden a couple of times. Ernest was a hard working man working his farm with horses. "New-fangled gadgets" were hard for him to accept. Dick made farming his life's work and he brought the tractor to the farm, at least the enthusiasm for one. Dick took over the farm after his Dad passed away in 1955 staying on the farm with Mother. Then Dick was called into the service of his country and the farm was sublet to a neighbor for that time. Dorothy moved into Albion into an apartment where she lived until her death in 1960.
