Note: Karl (Carl or Charlie) Nelson was born in Eketorp, Vist Parish, Sweden. He immigrated to the United States on June 22, 1870. Karl and His family lived on a farm near Bradish. After his wife's death in 1898, leaving him with 3 small children, he with the help of a housekeeper raised the children until daughter Elsa finished school. She then helped in the home.
Next was CHARLEY Nelson, a jovial character. He liked to joke and play tricks on the neighborhood youngsters. Seemed to always have a smile behind his whiskers and something up his sleeve. He married Charlotte Johnson. Elsa, John and Edith are his addition to the Nelson relation. His favorite team was Kate and Dolly. I attended his wedding at J.N.
