a. Note:   the marriage record shows the following--- Humphrey Starcher, 26, b)Gilmer Co.; m)Roane Co. 3-14-1867 to Levina Murphy,16, b)Braxton Co. Parents: Abraham & Elizabeth (Nutter) Starcher Joshua Little & Rebecca Murphy
  it appears that Levina's parents were not married since they are listed with different last names and Levina is listed as a Murphy instead of a Little. Also Humphrey could not of been born in Gilmer County in 1841 because Gilmer was not formed until 1845. This would mean he was born in either Kanawha or Lewis County. As of this writing his birth record has not been located.
  The 1900 Calhoun County, Wv Census shows Lovina Starcher as Head of Household with Daniel and Enoch still living with her. The next family listed in that census is that of Melvin and Rosa B Browning. This census also shows a different birth date....Oct.1841
