There is not much known about Donald William Cormany Senior. He pretty
much lived his life as he died...,in total anonymity.
He came to know his first wife in the spring of 1949. Donald was
discharged from the Army on March 6, 1949 after serving two years. He
came to the home of Faustina who lived with her parents George and Nelle
Patino at 122 East 87th street in Los Angeles.
When he arrived at the home of Faustina he was actually looking for
information on his old girlfriend he left when he entered the Army. She
was Virgina Grider, Faustina's best friend. Faustina, only sixteen at the
time, informed Don that Virgina had married but that she was available.
They clicked and they married later that year. Their first son, Donald Jr. was born on August 18, 1950.
While married the new couple lived with Faustina's parents George and
Nellie Patino as well as her two sisters Andrea and Sabina. As you could
imagine under those circumstances things didn't run smooth. Don took
labor jobs and became a mechanic/truck driver. Andrea, Faustina's sister,
said that Don could take apart a car engine and put it back together
without using all the parts. Family pressures were tough. Faustina became
pregnant with the 2nd son, George and one night Don decided he needed a
breather and left saying, "I'm going out for a pack of cigarettes!" He
never returned home. That was on April 21, 1951
It wasn't until they divorced that they would meet again. The Court
papers cross-complainant, Faustina states as follows: that the conduct
of the Plaintiff toward defendant has been extremely cruel, to the extent
that the defendant has been caused great and grievous mental suffering
and anguish, and that by reason of said conduct of the plaintiff, it is
impossible for her to continue to live with him as husband and wife. It
also states that the defendant is financially able to pay reasonable
amounts for each of the foregoing items. The county general hospital the
sum of $900.00 and reasonable child support. He never did. In 1960 while living in Bell, Gardens, California. He met a woman named
Juanita Marie Stouffer (Soldan) and they got married in Las Vegas on June
3, 1961. It is interesting to note that on the marriage application under
the section marked previous marriages. They both answered none.
During this marriage they produced a new home in Artesia, CA, one child,
a daughter named Nita Marie Cormany born on January 17, 1963. And another
rocky marriage. It crash landed on April 20, 1964 with the claim Donald
made that his wife committed adultery with one Charles Bogart
specifically on May 9, 1964 at 6604 Ajax St. in Bell Gardens, CA. It
seems the specific date Donald refers to in the Divorce papers must have
really started previous to the separation date. In July of 1964 they split the community property which consisted of 1.
the house in Artesia. 2. Household furnishings. 3. A 1951 Ford.
Legend tell us that he moved out of California to Illinois where he met
and married Majorie O'Conner. They had two children named Shiela Cormany
and Donald William Cormany Jr #2.
They moved to St. Petersburg Florida where in November of 1979 Don Senior was arrested and placed in Prison for sexual battery. He was released in
1992. At that time he worked odd jobs and mostly for a Real Estate office
in St. Petersburg. His employer Betty Dyles said that he performed good work. He did carpentry and plumbing, but he wanted and needed more money
in his later days. Don decided to start a street brothel. Ladies of the
night for money. He was the pimp. He also had a love interest as well as
an employee. Her name was Donna Valdez. She later got married because Don
wouldn't marry her. In addition it was Don who help her get married.
It wasn't long before the business wa
