  My jacob Tradewell Watrous was born in Susquaharri Co., New York on April12, 1846. [note from Donna Alden-Bugden: there is no Susquaharri County in New York, but there is a Susquehanna County in Pennsylvania that borders the Broome County in New York] and departed this life on may 1st, 1928, at the age of 82 years and 19days. His early childhood was spent in New York and Wisconsin, moving with his parents to Armadd, Macomb Co., Michigan when ten years of age.The burial write up states that Matilda died in 1912 and Jacob Tradewell Watrous moved in 1874 with his twin sons bringing an aged father withhim. They settled in Bellaire, MI.
  His mother died when he was sixteen and the following year he enlisted inthe Civil War, serving in Co A of the 9th Mich. Inf. until the regimentwas mustered out of service. We know his father was David Watrous who was still living in 1874 when hemoved to Bellaire, Michigan.
