a. Note:   In corner brook in 1935 census, listed as Edward Pear age 29 living with a number of people with various last names that are listed as Edward's domestics.
  Passed peacefully away at Hoyles Escasoni Complex, St. John`s on August 13th, 1998, Elward Henry Pear, age 92. A retired CNR engineer. He was predeceased by his wife Myrtis F. Pear on October 21st, 1997. Left to mourn are two sons: Albert (Shirley), Wabush, Labrador and Pastor Wayne (Lida), Cox`s Cove; two daughters: Avril (Charles Pearcey) and Thelma (John Brake), both of St. John`s; one brother Owen Pear (Crishe), Corner Brook; four sisters: Mrs. Nada Brewer, Mrs. Mabel Jennings (Frank), Mrs. Ida Primmer and Mrs. Beatrice Bugden, all residing in Corner Brook. Also left to mourn are 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; and a large circle of relatives and friends. The Funeral Service will take place from the Humber United Church, Clarence Street, on Saturday, August 15th, 1998 at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Clayton Parsons officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from FILLATRE`S Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Ave. on Friday from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. As expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Bible Society or to the Humber United Church Memorial Fund.
