Notes
a. Note:   Hi: Donna. Well lets see now, it looks like I have the whole can of wax. The first of our family of matthews to arrive in NL was John. Who lived with his Aunt when his father was killed in a war (possibly the Crimean) He. ran away from Devin to Join a ship for Nfld. He landed in Carbinear in 1846. Looks like he had 6 boys and 3 girls. First Archibald who married Cassandra. They had John, Hayward and it looks like Bramwell also. Virtuue Lauise and Elfreda
second. Oliver had 2 wives. Eliza Button and Rebecca Harris (not the same time). They had, Bromwell Noah, Pleman George,Eliza, Abraham John, Madora Fanny, Charles, Sim, & Flos
Allan Matthews would have been only one year older then my father and got a feeling that I knew him but I don'twhere he would come in to, I am sure my aunt would know. Hope this will help you out (cousin) If I can be of any more help let me know Oscar MillerOscar miller [oscar@nf.sympatico.ca]
