a. Note:   According to Marriage certificate of Enoch Alder and Elizabeth Brown, Enoch's father was Robert Alder, a gardener.
  In Stonehouse in 1841 with one son, Enoch b. abt 1835
  Found him in 1851 Census in Humphrey's End, Stroud. Age 40 (b. abt 1811). He is living with his mother and father in law (John and Sarah Aldridge). He is still listed as married. There were no children with him. His wife Sarah and son Enoch were living in Cheltenham in 1851. She seems to have died while he was away. He is listed as a mover in 1851 census.
  Was unable to find in 1891 census. Not found in the 1901 Census with his wife. Elizabeth is there, though. -----------------------

There must be 2 different Enoch's born 10 years apart and from different parents. my Enoch b. 1814 does not appear to be in the 1851 census.
  Marriage certificate also said that Enoch was a widower when he married Elizabeth Brown in 1852. _____________ Vaccination record of Ellen Alder found in Florence Trent's (grand-daughter) personal belongings indicate that Ellen's father was Enoch Alder.
