I contacted the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary in St John's and was able to get a copy of William Raymond's application to join the RNC. Do you have a copy? It doesn't give a lot of information but there are a few things. He was born in Catalina in the District of Trinity. When he applied his age was 24. He was single. He was 6' tall. He had been a fisherman. The date on the application was Oct 1st 1897. Hope this might be a little help..... Gay Riddle
