Note: My name is Lynne Foss Steffen and yes your Ada is indeed my mothers "Aunt Ada" - I remember her from when I was growing up in and around Edmonton, Alberta.
It was Aunt Ada and Uncle "Ed" - Edmond John Scott b. 12 Jan 1893 / Orillia, Simco, Ontario. I thought Aunt Ada was born in Orillia Ontario - about 1897 - but I could be wrong. They were married 21 Nov 1925.
They had two sons and a daughter, I believe. The daughter is Helen and the sons are LeRoy and I think "Ed". Lynne Steffen [lfsteffen@yahoo.com]

Yes, Margaret May Scott Foss is my mom. She and dad have both been dead for several years.
When I mentioned Aunt Ada's children I was wrong about one of them, I think. It was Helen, LeRoy and Irvin, I believe. Yes, as of a year ago they were all alive because I saw them for the first time in MANY years at the 55th wedding anniversary of my mom's only living brother, Larry Scott. I don't have any other details, but will call Uncle Larry and see what he can tell me.
It's now past bedtime, so I must close.

Zelia Cox was born 28 Apr 1898 (we think), but don't have any idea where. She & Riley married in 1961 ... so I guess that means we are talking about two different people. All we know about her death is that it was sometime after 1971 when he died. Sadly, Riley wasn't part of the kids lives after my dad was 4 years old. He only met Riley again after we joined the Mormon church in 1959 and got interested in genealogy. Even at that time, Riley wouldn't admit that he was dad's father, but it was very clear on several levels that he was. After he died, dad was able to talk to Zelia on the phone and she told him that Riley absolutely knew that dad (& dad's 4 siblings) were his children, but the divorce ended so badly that he refused to acknowledge any of them after that.
Different topic ... my youngest sister and her husband live in Winnipeg - have for years. Two of my other siblings live in Alberta, and one in Texas. I'm the oldest!!!
I must run as I apparently have company coming in a while and am still in my pyjamas!!!
